Maintenance free galvanised stringers with aluminium treads. We also make custom Stainless Steel Post caps to reduce weather impacting the timber posts. Stainless steel wires used to match in with the steel stairs.

Our Services

Internal Stairs

We’re experts in all types of stairs! Solid timber is our preferred option, but we can also provide cover grade (for carpet/vinyl etc) or Timber treads over steel mono stringers. We have endless options from Close rise, open rise, cantilevered and everything in-between.

External Stairs

We have a variety of external stair options. From Solid timber, to maintenance free steel, we can supply and install to suit your budget and needs.

Balustrade

Basically every staircase needs some type of handrail or balustrade… whether it’s inside or out, we have options to suit every style or trend and not just for stairs, we love full deck balustrade and pool fencing as well! From Glass, Timber, Steel or a mixture of all 3, we have a range of compliant systems to suit.

our history and future

Nick, the sole owner and operator here at Coffs Stairs and Balustrade, has been manufacturing stairs and balustrades locally, since he completed his apprenticeship in Coffs Harbour over 20 years ago. After a small hiatus from stairs in 2023-24 he’s back in 2025 leaving big business behind, with new skills and a passion to succeed as a stripped back, simplified, quality focused manufacture, changing the face and renewing expectations of what a small staircase business can achieve.
